Machina is our agent framework for document processing, shaped by public-sector work where every action has to survive an audit request.

Machina is our agent framework for document processing, built for work that must survive records requests and public scrutiny.

Where it fits for you

Filings, forms, archives: extract what matters, check it against your rules, draft the action, and keep the log.

Scanned archives, literature corpora, grant paperwork: Machina extracts and indexes, cross-references with citations to the source, and never asserts without provenance.

Invoices, claims, compliance filings: Machina clears the backlog rule by rule, drafts the action, and waits for sign-off. Every decision is logged, so the audit is a query, not a quarter.

Permits, filings, records queues: Machina extracts, checks against policy, drafts responses with citations, and redacts PII before anything leaves the building. Your staff approve; the log answers the oversight letter.

The pipeline

Documents come in as they are: PDFs, scans, CAD exports. Machina extracts the structured and unstructured content, indexes it, and cross-references it against your rulebook: configurable rulesets for whatever compliance means in your domain. Gaps and conflicts are flagged with citations to both the document and the rule, and the agent drafts the next action.

Humans decide

Agents draft; people approve. Any step that creates, modifies, or deletes something waits for a human checkpoint, and every tool call, retrieved document, and decision lands in the action log. The answer to “why did the system do that?” is a lookup, not an investigation.

Ask your documents

Machina also answers questions in plain language, grounded only in your document store, with citations on every answer. It detects and redacts PII before anything leaves the building.
